Georgie Boy Back in Dash

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 20, 2008) – Grade I winner Georgie Boy returns from a 4 ½-month break in Saturday’s $250,000 Sunshine Millions Oaks for 3-year-old colts and geldings at Santa Anita.

Georgie Boy is by Tribal Rule, out of the Peterhof mare Ippodamia, was bred by owner George Schwary and foaled at Old English Rancho. He has two wins, two seconds and a third in five starts, earnings of $286,806 and is making his first start since winning the Sept. 5 Del Mar Futurity.

Bob Black Jack is by Stormy Jack, out of the Native Prospector mare Molly’s Prospector, was bred by Gary and Marlene Howard and Bruce Dunmore, was foaled Hideaway Farms and is owned by Jeff Harmon and Tim Kasparoff. The $4,500 Barretts purchase has two wins and a second in four starts, earnings of $131,425 and is coming off a 6 ¼-length win in the Dec. 26 California Breeders’ Championship.

Topper Shopper is by Old Topper, out of the Shadeed mare Miami Margie, was bred by and foaled at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and is owned by Tommy Town, M and R Racing Stables and Tap Marcette Racing, et al. The Barretts graduate has two wins in six starts, earnings of $129,590 and is coming off a sixth in the Oct. 8 Cavonnier.

Nevada Worrior is by Lord Carson, out of the Marquetry mare Preppy Squaw, was bred by owners Joseph Duffel and was foaled at Duffel Farms. The Barretts graduate has two wins in nine starts, earnings of $106,519 and is coming off a fourth in the Nov. 3 California Cup Juvenile.

Unbeaten Italian Rules is by Tribal Rule, out of the Half a Year mare Golden Harmony, was bred by owner Nick Cafarchia and was foaled at Creston Farms The Barretts graduate has won both of his starts, most recently the Jan. 5 Stinson Beach.

Dee Dee’s Legacy is by Bartok, out of the Smokester mare Remember Dorothy, was bred by owner Bruce Corwin and was foaled at Magali Farms. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $33,502 and is coming off a fourth in the Dec. 26 California Breeders’ Championships.
