Sunshine Millions Nominations Due

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 12, 2006) -- Regular nominations for the $3.6 million Sunshine Millions IV, to be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, close Saturday, Jan. 14. Early-bird nominations for the eight races at Santa Anita and Gulfstream Park can be viewed by clicking: http://www.ctba.com/sunshine06/earlybird.htm

The fee for regular nominations is $500 per entry. Early-bird nominations at $100 each closed Dec. 8 with 333. Pre-entries for the races will be taken Wednesday, Jan. 18 and the post-position draw will be Monday, Jan. 23.

The one-day event is a showcase for California- and Florida-breds exclusively. Races scheduled for Santa Anita are: $1 million Sunshine Millions; $500,000 Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf; $300,000 Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint; $250,000 Sunshine Millions Dash.

Races scheduled for Gulfstream Park are: $500,000 Sunshine Millions Turf; $500,000 Sunshine Millions Distaff; $300,000 Sunshine Millions Sprint; $250,000 Sunshine Millions Oaks.
