Continental Red in Sunshine Millions Classic
ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2003) -- Connections for Continental Red, a graded stakes winner on turf and winner of the recent Great State Challenge Classic on dirt, have chosen to run in the $1 million Sunshine Millions Ocala Breeders Classic on dirt at Gulfstream Park instead of the
$500,000 Sunshine Millions Barretts/CTBA Turf at Santa Anita.
Both races will be run at 1 1/8 miles on Jan. 25 in the inaugural $3.6 million Sunshine Millions for horses bred in California and Florida. Continental Red has won three of 16 races and $248,615 on dirt and three of 30 races and $582,238 on turf.
