Pair Carry State Flag in Dash
HALLANDALE, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2003) –
Stakes winner Excessivepleasure and Judge Swiss are the only California-breds
entered in Saturday’s $250,000 Ocala Stud Dash for 3-year-olds on the
Sunshine Millions card at Gulfstream Park.
Excessivepleasure is the 6-5
morning-line favorite in the Dash. He is a gelded son of In Excess, out of
the Falstaff mare Pleasing, was bred by Cypress Farms and Vessels Stallion
Farm and foaled at Vessels Stallion Farm. In only his second start, he ran
off to a five-length win in the Dec. 26 California Breeders Champion
Stakes for 2-year-olds on opening day at Santa Anita. He sold for $17,000
at Barretts.
Judge Swiss is by Swiss Yodeler,
out of the Saros mare Reconquista, and was bred by Patricia Youngman and
Granton Bloodstock. He has two career wins, was claimed for $40,000 out of
his maiden win and most recently was third in the California Breeders
Champion Stakes Dec. 26. He was a $25,000 Barretts purchase.
