	SUMMARY:
	Provides that the Horse Racing Board, when implementing the Horse Racing Law, shall strive to ensure the continued operation of existing race tracks.

	TITLE:	Horse Racing: Jockeys
	SUMMARY:
	Prohibits jockeys from being required to waive their legal rights as a condition of obtaining insurance coverage through any racetrack, association, or other horse racing entity. Prohibits jockeys from being required, as a condition of riding in a race, to exercise a horse prior to the commencement of the race, unless it is voluntary and he or she is compensated.

	NOTES:	Hot Bill: CTT, TOC, and the racetracks are all opposing this bill. Discussions have taken place with the author and the sponsor, the Jock's Guild, and amendments are being proposed to eliminate the opposition. They aren't in print yet but it is unlikely that the proposed amendments will remove the opposition.

	TITLE:	Horse Racing: Satellite Wagering
	SUMMARY:
	Permits a licensed racing association or fair in a particular zone, to operate a satellite wagering facility for wagering on races in any county within that zone that does not have a currently licensed satellite wagering facility, subject to certain conditions. Prohibits locating a satellite wagering facility within 30 miles of any existing satellite wagering facility or any race track where a racing association or fair conducts live race meetings.

	Assembly GO Committee bill that lifts moratorium on Satellite facilities. This bill will allow for additional satellite facilities operated by entities other than fairs and race tracks.
