INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 29, 2007) – Social Climber took command turning for home and held off One On the House to win Sunday’s $70,000 Barretts Stakes for California-breds on Hollywood Park’s Gold Rush VII card.

Social Climber is by Labeeb, out of the Pirate’s Bounty mare Dancing for Bounty and was bred by owner Ernest Auerbach. He was trained by Darrell Vienna and ridden by Joseph Talamo, his second win on the card.

Social Climber was making his second start after winning a Mar. 31 debut by 2 ¾ lengths. He has earnings of $69,600 and ran the seven furlongs in 1:23.94. Sixcess was third.
