$150,000 Tiznow Stakes INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 29, 2007) – Odds-on favorite Greg’s Gold held off a determined He’s the Rage to win Sunday’s $150,000 Tiznow Stakes for California-breds at 7 ½ furlongs at Hollywood Park on Gold Rush VIII Day. Greg’s Gold, a Grade I winner, is by Lake George, out of the Fit to Fight mare Lake Windermere and was bred by owner Bill Boswell. He was trained by David Hofman and ridden by David Flores. He has six wins in 16 starts, earnings of $530,068 and was coming off a second to Smokey Stover in the Apr. 7 Potrero Grande Handicap. The Barretts graduate was third in this race last year with a troubled trip. He’s the Rage was second and Bilo was third. Greg’s Gold ran the 7 ½ furlongs in 1:28.90 and won by a half-length.
