Pirates Deputy in the Snow Chief
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 24, 2007) –
Multiple stakes winner Pirates Deputy is the likely favorite in Sunday’s
$250,000 Cal National Snow Chief Stakes for California-bred 3-year-olds at
1 1/8 miles, the feature event on the Gold Rush VIII card at Hollywood
Park.
Brave Sun is by Until Sundown, out
of the Thunder Gulch mare Bravingthethunder, was bred by Magali Ventures
and is owned by Crown Jewels Racing, Hollendorfer and Todaro. The $1,500
Barretts purchase has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $84,235 and is
coming off an Apr. 7 allowance win.
C.T. Zee is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of
the Dynaformer mare Zoelu, was bred by Harris Farms and is owned by Harris
Farms, Girdner & Jones. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $21,320
and is coming off a win in a Feb. 1 $75,000 maiden claimer.
Freesgood is by Free House, out of
the Housebuster mare Fun House and was bred by owners Currin and Eisman.
The California Cup Juvenile champ has two wins in seven starts, earnings
of $162,100 and is coming off a second in the Mar. 10 El Camino Real
Derby.

graduate Leesider is by Bertrando, out of the Storm Cat mare Sweet
Paradise, was bred by Marty and Pam Wygod and is owned by Super Horse Inc.
The $50,000 purchase has one win in five starts, earnings of $50,200 and
is coming off a second in a Mar. 30 allowance.

Schiappa. The $6,500 Barretts purchase has two wins in eight starts,
earnings of $386,462 and is coming off a sixth in the Feb. 3 Sham Stakes.
Tap It Light is by General Meeting,
out of the Half a Year mare Popular Opinion, was bred by Paula Capestro
and Rick Taylor and is owned by Johnston or Wong. The $5,000 Barretts
purchase has three wins in 11 starts, earnings of $140,787 and is coming
off a Mar. 18 optional claiming win.
The Supply Program is by Mizzen
Mast, out of the Miswaki mare Grace Note, was bred by Ed and Sharon Hudon
and is owned by Howard Siegel. He has one win in 10 starts, earnings of
$30,220 and is coming off a fourth in an Apr. 7 allowance.
Stakes winner Zoning In is by
Bertrando, out of the Slew’s Royalty mare Miss Inn Zone, was bred by Marty
and Pam Wygod and is owned by Curt & Lila Lanning. The $17,000 Barretts
purchase has two wins in nine starts, earnings of $138,662 and is coming
