INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 30, 2006) – Odds-on favorite Proposed opened Gold Rush Day VII for California-breds Sunday with an easy three-length victory in the $150,000 B. Thoughtful Stakes for fillies and mares at Hollywood Park.

Proposed is a 4-year-old by Benchmark, out of the Bertrando mare Quiet Romance and was bred by owners Marty and Pam Wygod.

She has six wins in 12 starts, earnings of $435,200 and was coming off a fourth in the Mar. 11 Santa Margarita. The full sister to Grade I winner Silent Sighs won the Grade II El Encino.

Proposed ran the seven furlongs in 1:21.36, stalking down the backstretch and sweeping to the lead three-wide around the turn for home, drawing off under a hand ride from jockey Pat Valenzuela and eased at the wire. Proposed was trained by John Shirreffs. She is 3-for-3 at Hollywood Park.

Somethingaboutlaura was second and Vikki’s Honor finished third in the six-horse field.
