Proposed Should B. Thoughtful

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 27, 2006) – Grade II winner Proposed is the high weight for Sunday’s $150,000 B. Thoughtful Stakes at seven furlongs for California-bred fillies and mares, the first race on the Gold Rush VII card at Hollywood Park.

Proposed is by Benchmark, out of the Bertrando mare Quiet Romance and was bred by owners Marty and Pam Wygod. She has five wins in 11 starts, earnings of $345,200 and is coming off a fourth in the Mar. 11 Santa Margarita. The full sister to Grade I winner Silent Sighs won the Grade II El Encino.

Multiple stakes winner Somethinaboutlaura is by Dance Floor, out of the It’s Freezing mare Crystals of Ice, was bred by Lilley Ranch and is owned by Miller, Skura, Todaro, et al. She has six wins in 12 starts, earnings of $221,655 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 1 Work the Crowd.

Royal Kleven is by Kleven, out of the Regal and Royal mare Royal Verbatim, was bred by Fred Watarida and is owned by Elordi or Shoemaker. Once claimed for $10,000, she has six wins in 17 starts, earnings of $188,958 and is coming off a fifth in the Apr. 7 Bug Brush.

I Can Yodele is by Swiss Yodeler, out of the Apollo mare Dancingattheapollo, was bred by Peter Busch and is owned by Heinz Steinmann. The $20,000 Barretts purchase has four wins in 16 starts earnings of $155,833 and is coming off a fourth in a Mar. 10 optional claimer. She was seventh in the Warren’s Thoroughbred Stakes on Gold Rush Day last year.

Vikki’s Honor is by Bartok, out of the Prized mare Bigger Prize, was bred by Larry Konecne and is owned by FMJ Patriot Stable, K.M. Stable and Sebold Racing. The $32,000 Barretts purchase has four wins in 10 starts, earnings of $145,526 and is coming off an Apr. 12 optional claimer win.

Valid’s Valid is by Valid Wager, out of the Prospectors Gamble mare Florida Cracker, was bred by H & E Ranch and is owned by Garcia & Ruditzky. She has two wins in 12 starts, earnings of $88,288 and is coming off a third in a Mar. 29 allowance. The $12,000 Barretts purchase was third in the Warren’s Thoroughbred Stakes on Gold Rush Day last year.
