$70,000 Warren’s Thoroughbred Stakes

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 24, 2005) – Longshot Wendy’s On to Me got up in the final strides to edge favorite Del Mar Miss and win Sunday’s $70,000 Warren’s Thoroughbreds allowance stakes for California-bred fillies and mares, the second race on the Gold Rush VI card at Hollywood Park.

Wendy’s On to Me is by Avenue of Flags, out of the Northern Baby mare Northern Advantage, was bred by Mickey Ruis and owned by Alvin M. Ruis. He was ridden by Corey Nakatani, trained by Tony Locke, ran the seven furlongs in 1:23.35 and went off at odds of 35-1.

Wendy’s On to Me broker her maiden in her most recent race, her 13th attempt.

Del Mar Miss was second and Valid’s Valid was third.
