Continental Red, Cheiron in TVG Khaled Stakes
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 21, 2005) – Millionaire Continental Red and 2004 Snow Chief Stakes winner Cheiron head the field for Sunday’s $150,000 TVG Khaled Stakes at one mile on the turf on the Gold Rush card at Hollywood Park.
Continental Red is by Flying Continental, out of the Glaros mare Sharp Looking Lady, was bred by Mr. and Mrs. Wes Fitzpatrick and is owned by Sharon Fitzpatrick. He has seven wins in 68 starts, $1,238,358 in earnings, is coming off a seventh in the San Luis Rey Handicap. He dead-heated for second in this race last year but has not won a race since the June 15, 2003 Quicken Tree Stakes.
Cheiron is by Maria’s Mon, out of the Wild Again mare Fortunee, was bred by The Thoroughbred Corp. and is owned by Noctis and Papiano. He has three wins in 15 starts, $315,942 in earnings and is coming off an eighth in the Mar. 12 Crystal Water Handicap.
