INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 24, 2004) – The Yellow Sheet held off a furious rush from Madam General to win Saturday’s $70,000 Warren’s Thoroughbreds allowance stakes for California-bred fillies and mares, the final race on the Gold Rush V card at Hollywood Park. The Yellow Sheet is by Benchmark, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Yellow Corn, and was bred by owner Toby Turrell. The 4-year-old filly ran the seven furlongs in 1:22.83 and went off at odds of 20-1. He was ridden by Corey Nakatani, his third win on the card, and trained by Denise Breuer. Madam General was second and Secret Caper was third.
