Excessivepleasure the Tiznow Choice

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 20, 2004) -- Excessivepleasure, the state's newest millionaire, figures to be a strong favorite in Saturday's $150,000 Tiznow Stakes for California-breds at 7 1/2 furlongs, part of the Gold Rush V card at Hollywood Park.

Excessivepleasure is by In Excess, out of the Falstaff mare Pleasing, was bred by Cypress Farms 1991 and Vessels Stallion Farm and is owned by Lee and Ty Leatherman. He is a multiple stakes winner whose third-place finish in the Godolphin Mile made him California's newest millionaire with earnings of $1,021,382. He is the high weight at 124 pounds.

Beau Soleil is by General Meeting, out of the Far North mare Triple Connection, was bred by Charlotte Wrather and is owned by Robert Bone and Earle Mack. He has four wins, $185,200 in earnings, is coming off an Apr. 3 optional claimer win and is making his stakes debut.

Early Snow is by Souvenir Copy, out of the Deputy Minister mare Regina's Vice, was bred by John and Betty Mabee and is owned by King Arthur Farms, Owners Stable and Stein. Claimed twice last year, he has three wins and $122,880 in earnings.

Green Team is by Huddle Up, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Scare Tactics, was bred by Harris Farms and is owned by Ferro Family Trust and Jeff Bonde. Claimed for $32,000 last year, he went on to win the California Cup Sprint. He has eight wins and $502,102 in earnings.

Hemet Thought is by Smokester, out of the Chimineas mare Thinker, was bred by Farrell Jones and owned by Philip Belmonte, Henry Cohen, Carl VanBurger, et al. He has six wins and $262,939 in earnings.

Intuit is by Truckee, out of the Ferdinand mare Countess Ferdinand, was bred and is owned by Four Quarters Corp. He has two wins in 17 starts and earnings of $76,570.

Ride and Shine is by High Brite, out of the Red Ryder mare Shining Ryder, was bred by owners Souheil Bisharat & Raed Bisharat. He has six wins and $398,615 in earnings.

Spinelessjellyfish is by Skywalker, out of the Desert Wine mare Silky Sand Sammy, was bred by Cardiff Farm Management and owned by Cardiff Stud Farm. He has 10 wins and $888,791 in earnings.
