Yearly Report Heads Melair INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 20, 2004) -- Graded stakes winner Yearly Report is the likely favorite among a field of eight in Saturday's $200,000 Melair Stakes for California-bred 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles on the Gold Rush V card at Hollywood Park. Yearly Report is by General Meeting, out of the Half a Year mare Fiscal Year, was bred by John and Betty Mabee and is owned by Golden Eagle Farm. She won the Grade II Santa Ynez in her third start and was second in the California Breeders' Champion Stakes to Silent Sighs. She is drawn on the rail. Beneficial Bartok is by Bartok, out of the Mill Native mare Manila Mercy, was bred by Morry Cohen and is owned by 5C Racing Stable. She is a maiden. Iza Legend is by Iz a Saros, out of the Rumbo mare Bonnie Blue Me, was bred by owner Gerald Redman. She has one win in four starts and is coming off a third in an Apr. 4 allowance. Nandu is by is by Bertrando, out of the Private Account mare Personal Victory, was bred by Ed Nahem and is owned by King Edward Racing Stable.
