Switzerland in Arcadia?
ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2007) –
Switzerland is the high weight in Saturday’s $50,000 California Cup
Starter Sprint Handicap at Oak Tree at Santa Anita.
Bestdressed is by Lit de Justice,
out of the Black Tie Affair mare Undressed, was bred by Paul Boghossian,
was foaled at Magali Farms and is owned by Triple B Farms. He has three
wins in 12 starts, earnings of $89,760 and is coming off a third in a
$62,500 claimer Oct. 17.
Blaze It is by What a Spell, out of
the Prized mare Irish Blaze, was bred by Jim Ford, foaled at Cuyama Farm
and owned by Tricar Stables. He has three wins in 19 starts, earnings of
$113,565 and is coming off a win Oct. 6 when he was claimed for $32,000.
Flip the Penny is by Fusaichi
Accele, out of the Robyn Dancer mare Dollar Dancer, was bred by Pablo
Campos, foaled at El Ojo de Agua and is owned by Allen, Meguiar and Spawr.
He has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $123,640 and is coming off a
four race win streak.
Iza General is by General Gem, out
of the Iz a Saros mare Iza Bay, was bred by Carl Brown, foaled at
Applebite Farm and is owned by Ton and Melodie McAtee. He has eight wins
in 32 starts, earnings of $206,295 and is coming off a seventh Sept. 29
when he was claimed for $40,000.
Lead Stealer is by King of the
Hunt, out of the Inverness Drive mare Brush Fire, was bred by John Prince,
Robert Toomajian and Bill Spawr, was foaled at Ridgeley Farm and is owned
by Lamonte Isom. He has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $81,698 and is
coming off a second in an Oct. 7 optional claimer.
Switzerland is by Swiss Yodeler,
out of the Pentelicus mare Kid Friendly, was bred by David and Elaine
Parks, was foaled at Pepper Oaks Farm and is owned by Arbitrage Stables,
Avila and Johnson. He has seven wins in 26 starts, earnings of $142,610
and is coming off a third in a Sept. 28 $50,000 claimer.
Victory Style is by More Style, out
of the Lydian mare Crossed Arrows, was bred by Robert and JoAnn Wiles, was
foaled at Applebite Farm and is owned by Lisa Bettencourt and Hawken Ruis.
