Cambiocorsa Doesn’t Change Course

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2006) – Course queen Cambiocorsa returns to the Santa Anita hillside turf course Saturday as the high weight and anticipated heavy favorite in the $150,000 John Deere California Cup Distaff for fillies and mares at Oak Tree.

Cambiocorsa is by Avenue of Flags, out of the Afleet mare Ultrafleet, was bred by John and diane Fradkin and is owned by Leatherman and Ran Jan Racing. The $90,000 Barretts purchase has nine wins in 15 starts, earnings of $504,055 and is coming off a win in the Sept. 27 Grade III Ken Maddy Handicap, running her perfect record on the unique turf course to 8-for-8

Kresgeville is by Bertrando, out of the Never Tabled mare Seed Case, was bred by Marty and Pam Wygod and is owned by Sandra Hall Trust. She has four wins in seven starts, earnings of $97,340 and is coming off a third in the Awahtekee Express Handicap, having earlier won the Manhattan Beach Handicap at Del Mar.

Allswellthatnswell is by Perfect Mandate, out of the Something Lucky mare A Lucky Happening, was bred by Old English Rancho and is owned by E.W. and Judy Johnston. She has two wins in 13 starts, earnings of $119,026 and is coming off a seventh in the Sept. 23 Las Madrinas Handicap. One of her wins was the Stanford Stakes last year.

Purrfectly Fitting is by Iron Cat, out of the Fighting Fit mare Fitting, and was bred by owners Cassidy and Ducasse. She has two wins in three starts, earnings of $66,000 and is making her first start since a win in a Mar. 30 optional claimer.

Vikki’s Honor is by Bartok, out of the Prized mare Bigger Prize, was bred by Larry Konecne and is owned by FMJ Patriot, K.M. Stable and Sebold Racing. The $32,000 Barretts purchase has six wins in 13 starts, earnings of $291,440 and is coming off a win in the Sept. 6 C.E.R.F. Handicap.

Tizagem is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of the Palace Music mare Sher Nan’s Gem, was bred by Marvin Malmuth and is owned by Triple M Racing. She has two wins in eight starts, earnings of $88,840 and is coming off a ninth in the Sept. 27 Ken Maddy Handicap.

Leave Me Alone is by Bold Badgett, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Fabulous Ballet, was bred by Old English Rancho, Quinn and Pond and is owned by S.M. Mitchell Ranch. The Del Mar Yearling Sale graduate has five wins in 16 starts, earnings of $644,330 and is making her first start since finishing seventh in the July 15 Princess Rooney. Her last win was the 2005 Grade I Test Stakes.

River’s Prayer is by Devon Lane, out of the Cozzene mare Cozzy Flyer, was bred by Vessels Stallion Farm and is owned by Bearing Point Ventures or Capestro.The $15,000 Barretts purchase has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $221,783 and is coming off the Sept. 1 Torrey Pines, when she stumbled at the start and lost her rider.
