Robert H. Walter $125,000 Cal Cup Juvenile Fillies Preview

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2005) -- The contenders include Del Mar stakes winners Devons Smokin and Sierra Sweetie, as well as Malley Girl, triumphant in Oak Tree’s Cover Gal.

Devons Smokin (Devon Lane-Smoked Glass, by Smokester) won the CTBA at Del Mar and Sierra Sweetie (Old Topper-Memory of Margit, by Kendor) took the Generous Portion. Malley Girl (Malek-Sunday’s Child, by Desert Wine) who broke her maiden in her career debut at Del Mar, won the Cover Gal in her next start. Slick Road (Mud Route-Slim ‘n Fast, by Distinctive Cat) ran third in the Grade III Sorrento Stakes at Del Mar.
