Cal Cup Juvenile Draws
Top Money, This Wizard Rocks
ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2004) – Four
sons of Cee’s Tizzy are among the eight horses entered in Saturday’s $125,000
Budweiser California Cup Juvenile at Oak Tree at Santa Anita.
Lucky J. H. is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of
the A.P. Indy mare Lucky C.H. and was bred by owner Harris Farms. He broke his
maiden in his second start by seven lengths Sept. 5.
Tizmanian Devil is by Cee’s Tizzy, out
of the Slewpy mare Slewpy’s Leader, was bred by Patricia Youngman and John
Haendiges and is owned by Little Red Feather Racing. He broke his maiden in his
third start by 2 Ľ lengths Sept. 29.
Stakes winner This Wizard Rocks is by
Rubiano, out of the Mt. Livermore mare Heart’s Magic, was bred by Autumn Ridge
and Ben Branson and is owned by Autumn Ridge, Branson and Durham. He broke his
maiden winning the Sept. 23 Gateway to Glory Stakes in his fourth start by 9 ˝
lengths.
Nickel Silver is by Cee’s Tizzy, out
of the Nodouble mare Officer Lea, was bred by Harris Farms and is owned by
Annabele Stute and The Hat Ranch. He broke his maiden in his first start Sept.
23.
Top Money is by Old Topper, out of the
Alwasni mare Money for Madrid, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds. He
has won all three of his starts, most recently the Sept. 6 I’m Smokin Stakes,
and has $94,560 in earnings.
Texcess is by In Excess, out of the
Regal Classic mare Danish Alamode, was bred by Ron Gomez and is owned by Paul
Aguirre. The $85,000 Barretts purchase was second in his debut in the Sept. 19
Barretts Juvenile.
Conspirator is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of
the Falstaff mare Promessa, was bred by Helen Smith and is owned by Brian Allen.
The $9,000 Barretts purchase won his second start, a Sept. 15 $32,000 maiden
claimer, by 4 ˝ lengths.
Generalist is by General Meeting, out
of the Syncopate mare Good Faith Woman, was bred by Marvin Malmuth and is owned
by Marvin and Sonya Malmuth and Nathan McCay. He was second in the Sept. 30
Cavonnier.
