CALIFORNIA CUP XV

California  Cup XV will be held Saturday, October 16 at Santa Anita Park and co-hosts of the event which spotlights the California Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry--the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association and the Oak Tree Racing Association--are confident that California Cup Day again will be one of the premier racing days of the year in California.

All ten races on the card are exclusively for California-breds and the day offers competition for every class of runner, with purses totaling $1.325 million. All 10 California Cup races will be simulcast to Northern California and it is anticipated that approximately 100,000 people statewide will see California Cup XV and that wagering could total more than $20 million. In addition to the racing, California Cup has been a tremendous success because of the social events connected to it. There will be a special infield party on race day for supporters of the California Thoroughbred industry, an event which annually has attracted more than 2,500 guests.

The complete list of races, with conditions for each, may be found on the next two pages of this booklet. If you have any questions regarding the California Cup XV races, please contact Michael J. Harlow in the Oak Tree racing office, at (626) 574-6472 or (800) 235-2128.
