Pair Work on Mother’s Day

SAN MATEO, Calif. (May 8, 2008) -- California breds Rockella and Andover the Cash are entered in Sunday’s $55,000 Mother’s Day Handicap for fillies and mares at Bay Meadows.

Rockella is by Tribal Rule, out of the Strike Gold mare Monterey Gold, was bred by Marty and Pam Wygod, was foaled at River Edge Farm, is owned by Hollendorfer, Todaro, Watson and Yee and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. The $5,000 Barretts purchase has five wins in 24 starts, earnings of $221,326 and is coming off a third in the Apr. 6 Valentine Dancer.

Andover the Cash is by Unusual Heat, out of the Dynaformer mare Andover the Money, was bred by Abrams/Roberts, Nakkashian, Johnson and Johnson, was foaled at Old English Rancho, is owned by William Deburgh and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has four wins in 32 starts, earnings of $153,198 and is coming off a third in the Mar. 29 Hillsborough.
