Bob Black Jack Draws Post 13

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Apr. 30, 2008) - Bob Black Jack, the lone California-bred in the field of 20, drew post position No. 13 for Saturday’s $2,211,800 Grade I Kentucky Derby for 3-year-olds at Churchill Downs.

Bob Black Jack is by Stormy Jack, out of the Native Prospector mare Molly’s Prospector, was bred by Gary Howard, Marlene Howard and Bruce Dunmore, was foaled at Hideaway Farms, is owned by Jeff Harmon and Tim Kasparoff and trained by James Kasparoff.

The $4,500 Barretts purchase has three wins in seven starts, earnings of $442,925 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 5 Santa Anita Derby.
