Monterey Jazz Takes Texas Mile

GRAND PRAIRIE, Tex. (Apr. 27, 2008) - Monterey Jazz, a Kentucky-bred son of California stallion Thunderello, won Saturday’s $300,000 Grade III Texas Mile at Lone Star Park.

Monterey Jazz has six wins in 13 starts and $532,740 in earnings. He ran the mile in 1:35.25 and won by eight lengths at odds of 3-5.
