Bold Chieftain Wins Bay Meadows Handicap

SAN MATEO, Calif. (Apr. 26, 2008) – Odds-on favorite Bold Chieftain captured Saturday’s $125,000 Bay Meadows Handicap.

Bold Chieftain is by Chief Seattle, out of the Seattle Dancer mare Hooked on Music, was bred by Langheim, Morey, Robinson and Hall, was foaled at Cardiff Stud Farm and is trained by Bill Morey Jr.

He has 10 wins in 18 starts, earnings of $628,025 and was coming off a win in the Mar. 22 March Madness Handicap. He ran the 1 1/16 miles on turf in 1:42.36 and won by two lengths as the 3-10 favorite.
