Cal-bred Trio in La Puente

ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 10, 2008) – California-breds Nevada Worrier, Warrens Attack Cat and Lucky Honey are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 La Puente Stakes for 3-year-olds at Santa Anita.

Nevada Worrier is by Lord Carson, out of the Marquetry mare Preppy Squaw, was bred by owner Joseph Duffel and was foaled at Duffel Farms. The Barretts graduate has two wins in 12 starts, earnings of $134,552 and is coming off a fourth in the Mar. 2 Baldwin Stakes.

Warrens Attack Cat is by Bartok, out of the Quiet American mare Pinctada, was bred by owner Benjamin Warren and foaled at Warren’s Thoroughbreds. He has two wins in nine starts, earnings of $52,580 and is coming off a Mar. 24 starter’s allowance win.

Lucky Honey is by Lit de Justice, out of the Distant Relative mare Relative Shade, was bred by owner Recabaren Racing and was foaled at Magali Farms. He has two wins in eight starts, earnings of $49,340 and is coming off a second in a $50,000 claimer Mar. 14.
