Tiz a Blend Takes Valentine Dancer

ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 6, 2008) – Tiz a Blend, full sister to Las Flores Stakes winner Tiz Elemental one race earlier, capped a remarkable day for the family by winning Sunday’s $110,300 Valentine Dancer Handicap for California-bred fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Tiz a Blend is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of the Great Commotion mare Blending Element, was bred by Williamson Racing, was foaled at Harris Farms and is owned by Warren Williamson.

She has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $172,854 and was coming off a fourth in a Mar. 1 allowance.

Tiz a Blend ran the mile on turf in 1:33.83 and won by 2 ½ lengths at odds of 5-1. Lightmyfirebaby was second and favored Rockella was third.
