Greg’s Gold a Millionaire

ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 5, 2008) – Greg’s Gold became the newest California-bred millionaire when he won Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II Potrero Grande Handicap at Santa Anita.

Greg’s Gold is a 7-year-old gelding by Lake George, out of the Fit to Fight mare Lake Windermere, was bred by owner Bill Boswell and was foaled at Harris Farms.

The Barretts graduate has nine wins in 25 starts, earnings of $1,067,923 and was coming off a second in the Feb. 16 San Carlos.

He ran the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:14.62 and won by 1 ¾ lengths at odds of 3-1.
