Lucky J. H. with Sensational Win

ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 4, 2008) – Favored Lucky J. H. squeezed between horses in mid-stretch and gamely prevailed over stablemate High Standards to win Friday’s $135,500 Sensational Star Handicap for California-breds at Santa Anita.

Lucky J. H. is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of the A.P. Indy mare Lucky C. H., was bred by, foaled at and owned by Harris Farms. He has seven wins in 17 starts, earnings of $570,755 and was coming off a third in the Mar. 16 Crystal Water.

He ran the 6 ½ furlongs down the hillside turf course in 1:12.09 and won by three-quarters of a length as the 6-5 favorite, with High Standards second and Bestdressed third.
