Idiot Proof a Millionaire

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Mar. 29, 2008) – Idiot Proof became the latest California-bred millionaire when he finished second in Saturday’s $2 million Group I Dubai Golden Shaheen at Nad al Sheba.

Idiot Proof took the lead in midstretch but was collared and passed by winner Benny the Bull. For finishing second, Idiot Proof collected $400,000, raising his career earnings to $1,263,204.

He has five wins in 12 career starts.

Idiot Proof is by Benchmark, out of the Bertrando mare Perfectly Pretty, was bred by owners Marty and Pam Wygod and was foaled at River Edge Farm.
