Sunshine Millions Draws 333 Early
Birds
ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 15, 2005) –
The $3.6 million Sunshine Millions, to be run Saturday, Jan. 28, has drawn
333 early-bird nominations. The eight-race series for horses bred in
California and Florida will consist of four races run each at Santa Anita
and Gulfstream Park.
Among the top California-breds
nominated are Lava Man and McCann’s Mojave in the $1 million Classic;
Dream of Summer and House of Fortune in the $500,000 Distaff; Two-time
winner Valentine Dancer and Moscow Burning in the $500,000 Filly & Mare
Turf; McCann’s Mojave and Bordonaro in the $300,000 Sprint; Alphabet
Kisses and Leave Me Alone in the $300,000 Filly & Mare Sprint.
Regular nominations at $500 close
Jan. 14, 2006. Horses must pre-enter Jan. 18, 2006 and the post-position
draw is Jan. 23, 2006.
