Strike Gold Dead at 25
SAN JACINTO, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2005) -- Strike Gold, whose progeny from 19 crops earned more than $16 million, died recently of the infirmities of old age. He was 25.
The graded-stakes winning son of Mr. Prospector sired 19 stakes winners, topped by multiple graded winner Traces of Gold and graded winners Popol’s Gold and Arches of Gold.
Owned by John Zamora, Strike Gold most recently stood at Hideaway Farms.
