New Sires in NorCal Sale Spotlight

PLEASANTON, Calif. (Aug. 1, 2005) – The first yearlings by a half-dozen debuting stallions will be available at this year’s Northern California Yearling Sale, to be held Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, beginning at 11 a.m.

Being represented at the sale for the first time are stallions Persian Turban, Richly Blended, Skimming, Sought After, Tannersmyman and Tribal Rule.

Persian Turban, an unraced son of leading European stallion Sadler’s Wells, sired Hip Nos. 70, 112 and 231.

Richly Blended, a multiple graded-winning son of Rizzi, sired Hip Nos. 47, 132 and 209.

Skimming, a two-time Pacific Classic winner and son of Nureyev, sired Hip Nos. 213 and 216.

Sought After, an unraced son of Seeking the Gold, sired Hip No. 64.

Tannersmyman, a stakes-winning son of Lord Carson, sired Hip Nos. 165 and 184.

Tribal Rule, a multiple-winning son of Storm Cat, sired Hip Nos. 14, 50, 96 and 178.

The sale also includes yearlings by prominent sires Bertrando, Cee’s Tizzy, High Brite, In Excess, Lit de Justice, Old Topper, Valid Wager, Roar and Siberian Summer.
