Royally Chosen Ships for the Money
MIAMI, Fla. (Jan. 19, 2004) --
Royally Chosen is the lone California-bred shipping to Gulfstream Park for
Saturday's $500,000 Ocala Breeders' Sales Distaff in the $3.6 million
Sunshine Millions Day II.
The race will be the ninth on the
Gulfstream card.
The 6-year-old daugher of In Excess
is out of the Siberian Express mare Her Royalty and was bred by Old
English Rancho and trainer Bruce Headley.
She finished first in the Dec. 31
Kalookan Queen by a nose but was disqualified and placed second. She
entered that race off a 3 1/2-length win in the California Cup Matron. She
is a runner-up in a Grade I and Grade II race and has career earnings of
$332,638.
Also entered in the race is
Florida-bred Pesci, named for actor and co-owner Joe Pesci.
