Sunshine Millions Nominations Close Saturday

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 7, 2004) – Regular nominations for the Jan. 24 $3.6 million Sunshine Millions II close Saturday, Jan. 10.

Each regular nomination is accompanied by a fee of $500. No supplemental nominations will be accepted for any of the eight races, which are restricted to horses bred in California or Florida.

Pre-entries will be taken Wednesday, Jan. 14, and the post-position draw will be Monday, Jan. 19.

Santa Anita and Gulfstream Park will co-host the event. The four races to be run at Santa Anita are the $1 million Barretts/CTBA Classic, $500,000 Fillies and Mares Turf, $300,000 Fillies and Mares Sprint and the $250,000 NATC Dash for 3-year-olds.

Gulfstream Park will host the $500,000 Ocala Breeders’ Sales Distaff, the $500,000 Franks Farm Turf, the $300,000 Padua Stables Sprint and the $250,000 Ocala Stud Oaks for 3-year-old fillies.
