$150,000 CTT B. Thoughtful Stakes
CEE'S ELEGANCE

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 26, 2003) -- Favored Cee's Elegance took command around the turn and held off a determined Jetinto Houston to take the $150,000 CTT B. Thoughtful Stakes for older fillies and mares Saturday, opening the $1.3 million California Gold Rush card at Hollywood Park.

Cee's Elegance is by Cee's Tizzy, out of the Norcliffe mare Elegant Beauty and was bred by Cecilia Straub-Rubens. The 6-year-old winner of last year's Cat's Cradle stakes at Hollywood Park ran the seven furlongs in 1:21.70 and finished three-quarters of a length in front of Jetinto Houston, with Real Paranoide third.

It was the fifth win in 29 starts for Cee's Elegance, pushing her career earnings to $585,039. In addition to the Cat's Cradle, Cee's Elegance also won the Lakeview Thoroughbred Farm Allowance stakes on the 2001 Gold Rush card.

Cee's Elegance is owned by Cees Stable, trained by Doug O'Neill and was ridden by Victor Espinoza. She was coming off a second in the Jan. 25 $750,000 Sunshine Millions Distaff.
