Depth Found in Allowance Stakes
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 23, 2003)
-- Full fields of a dozen Califonia-breds were entered in Saturday's
allowance stakes on the Gold Rush card at Hollywood Park, the $70,000
Rancho San Miguel Stakes for colts and geldings and the $70,000 Lakeview
Thoroughbred Farm Stakes for fillies and mares.
The field for the Rancho San Miguel
includes Jack's Silver, whose resume includes a second in the Grade II San
Vicente Stakes as a maiden behind Came Home. He is by Soft Gold, out of
the Runaway Groom mare Little Ricky S., and was bred by Southern Nevada
Racing Stables.
Another contender Summer Service,
winner of his last two and claimed for $40,000. He is by Siberian Summer,
out of the Silver Deputy mare Silver Service, and bred by Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Power.
The Lakeview Thoroughbred Farm
field includes three recent claims: Babbler, Bertrando's Model and Meteor
Game. Also entered is Forthelifeofme, who has won her last two races. She
is by Indian Charlie, out of the Fit to Fight mare Run for My Life, and
was bred by J. Lloyd Yother, J.Garvan Kelly and Nancy Yearsley.
