Cee's Elegance Could B. Thoughtful

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 23, 2003) -- Cee's Elegance, winner of the Cat's Cradle Handicap at Hollywood Park and the Lakeview Thoroughbred Farm Stakes on last year's Gold Rush card, heads a field of eight entered in Saturday's $150,000 B. Thoughtful Stakes for older fillies and mares at seven furlongs.

Cee's Elegance is by Cee's Tizzy, out of the Nocliffe mare Elegant Beauty, and was bred by Cecilia Straub-Rubens. She has four wins in 28 starts and $495,039 in earnings.

Icantgoforthat is by In Excess, out of the Copelan mare Texinadress, and was bred by Michael Pegram. She won the Survive Stakes, one of five wins in 16 starts with $259,368 in earnings.

Jetinto Houston is by Houston, out of the Kennedy Road mare Jetinwith Kennedy, and was bred by Sledge Stable. She won the Mar. 16 Irish O'Brien Stakes in her first race for new owner Team Valor Stables.

Brite Sunny Day is by High Brite, out of the Affirmed mare Sunny Sara, and was bred by owner Harris Farms. She is coming off a Mar. 21 optional claiming win, one of three in six starts, with $116,000 in earnings.

Broke in Blairsden is by Bonus Money, out of the Crystal Water mare Blairsden, and was bred by Vadnais 1991 Family Trust. She was second in the Irish O'Brien and has four wins in 14 starts and $129,468 in earnings.

Real Paranoide is by Paranoide, out of the Hoist the Silver mare Nan's Ace, and was bred by Harris Farms and J. Garvan Kelly. She is coming off a Mar. 6 optional claiming win, one of nine lifetime, with earnings of $268,728. She was claimed by her current connections Nov. 22 for $50,000.

Rosando is by Robannier, out of the Slewvescent mare Slusanda, and was bred by the Robert H. Walter Family Trust. She is looking for her first win in more than a year and is returning from an eight-month layoff.

Sweetcakesanshakes is by Something Lady, out of the Kennedy Road mare Tami Bar U, and was bred by Old English Rancho and Willman. This will be only her fourth start off a nearly three-year layoff. She has six wins in 16 starts, $254,280 in earnings and most recently won a Feb. 22 optional claimer.
