ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 17, 2003) -- CTBA Sales received close to 500 entries for the upcoming 2003 Del Mar Yearling Sale. Over 400 of the yearlings nominated will be inspected for conformation during April and the first part of May. All farms were contacted several weeks ago to schedule appointments for the inspections. The inspections for the following cities were completed this week: Oakdale, Manteca, French Camp, Lodi, Clements, Acampo, Wallace, Galt, Herald, Wilton, Elk Grove, Auburn, Grass Valley, Bangor, Napa and Petaluma. Monday, Apr. 21 starts the second leg of the inspections in Southern California. Inspections will occur in the following cities on Apr. 21: Rancho Santa Fe, Escondido, Ramona, Santa Ysabel, Valley Center and Bonsall. Tuesday, Apr. 22 the inspection continues in the following cities: Fallbrook, Temecula and Murrieta. Wednesday, Apr. 23 the inspections are wrapped up in this area in the following cities: Romoland, Nuevo, Hemet, Lakeview, Riverside and Mira Loma. Monday, Apr. 28 starts the last leg of inspections in the central part of California and will occur in the following cities: Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Buellton and Lompoc.
Tuesday, Apr. 29 the inspection continues in the following cities: San Miguel, Atascadero and Paso Robles and ending in Coalinga. Inspections for California cities not mentioned will be conducted in mid April to the first part of May. Also, out of state inspections will be conducted mid to late April and the first part of May.
