$60,000 Rhinotek Computer Products Gourmet Girl Maiden Stakes -- BEAR FAN

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 28, 2002) -- Bear Fan made a rich debut Sunday, winning the $60,000 Rhinotek Computer Products Gourmet Girl maiden stakes at Gold Rush III at Hollywood Park. The 3-year-old filly by Pine Bluff, out of the Shimatoree mare Shezalong, was bred by co-owner and trainer Wesley Ward. Mike Smith was the jockey. Bear Fan won the race by five lengths over Flying Heart, with Kingdom Bound third.
