Krone to Ride in Cal Cup

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2002) -- Hall of Fame jockey Julie Krone will return to the saddle this week and expects at least two mounts in Saturday's California Cup XIII at Oak Tree at Santa Anita.

Krone, who retired in 1999, has a call to ride Cee's Elegance in the $150,000 Matron and Mabel Kent (if she runs) in the $150,000 Distaff, according to agent Brian Beach.

Entries for the 10 Cal Cup races will be taken Wednesday morning.
