Harvest Girl Skipping Sprint

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2002) -- Stakes winner Harvest Girl apparently is bypassing Saturday's California Cup and is the lone California-bred entered in Thursday's $75,000 Cascapedia Stakes for fillies and mares at Oak Tree at Santa Anita.

Harvest Girl was nominated to face the boys in the Cal Cup Sprint. Harvest Girl is a 5-year-old daughter of Apollo, out of the Copelan mare Breeze Chimes, and was bred by Kjell Qvale.

She has six career wins, including the Pio Pico Stakes at Fairplex Park, and earnings of nearly $250,000.
