Golden General Tested in San Gabriel
ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 28, 2001) - Golden General is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday's $150,000 Grade II San Gabriel Handicap at Santa Anita.
The son of Golden Act, out of the Young Generation mare Fairways Girl, was bred by Eugene Burnison. He has four wins in 23 lifetime starts, but is looking for his first stakes victory. In his most recent start, he finished sixth in the Nov. 22 On Trust Handicap.
