Ayanna Faces Males in Christmas Futurity PHOENIX, Ariz. (Dec. 18, 2001) - Ayanna, an Arizona-bred daughter of California stallion In Excess and a Del Mar Yearling Sale graduate who won the Nov. 18 $100,000 Moccasin Stakes at Hollywood Park, takes on the boys in Saturday's $75,000 Christmas Futurity at Turf Paradise. Bred by Triple-AAA Ranch and out of the Sovereign Dancer mare Dance Play, Ayanna was eased in her previous start, the Oak Leaf Stakes, but won the Moccasin by four lengths, her second win in five starts. Three Cal-Breds are also entered. El Fumar is a son of Smokester, out of the Golden Reserve mare Avant's Gold, and was bred by Marty and Pam Wygod. Bella Cash is a daughter of Chromite, out of the Rajab mare Bella Jessica, and was bred by Harold Phenix. Tickle the Ivories is a son of Desert Classic, out of the Messenger of Song mare Play Me a Song, and was bred by Frank and Linda Cooper and W.E. Morey.
