Feverish Tries to Defend Bayakoa Title

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Dec. 13, 2001) - Defending champion Feverish leads a trio of California-breds entered Saturday in the $150,000 Grade II Bayakoa Handicap at 1 1/16-mile at Hollywood Park.

Feverish is a daughter of Pirate's Bounty, out of the Flying Paster mare Blonde Fever. She was bred by owners Marty and Pam Wygod and will race coupled with Tranquility Lake. A 13th career win would make Feverish a millionaire in earnings. She finished second to Favorite Funtime in the Nov. 23 Cat's Cradle Handicap.

Queenie Belle is a daughter of Bertrando, out of the Don B. mare Lady Argyle, and was bred by Ed Nahem and Marshall Naify. She won the Grade II Lady's Secret Handicap Sept. 29, was badly beaten in the Breeders Cup Distaff, and finished third in the Cat's Cradle.

Cee Dreams is coming off her biggest win, the Nov. 3 $150,000 California Cup Matron, when she beat Favorite Funtime and Feverish. She is a daughter of Cee's Tizzy, out of the Doonesbury mare Dreamsbury, and was bred by Ron Gomez.

Minor Details is a Kentucky-bred daughter of California stallion General Meeting, out of the Lyphard mare Sparkling Star, and was bred by John and Betty Mabee. She has one win in the last two years.
