Bella Bella Bella the New Golden Ballet

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Dec. 8, 2001) - Team Valor purchased Golden Ballet and she went on to become one of the most brilliant California-breds in recent years until she was injured, and now the partnership might have found a replacement in Bella Bella Bella.

The daughter of Soft Gold, out of the Slewpy mare Interactive, won the $50,000 Golden Ballet Stakes for 2-year-old fillies Saturday by two lengths as the 4-5 favorite, her second win in as many races. Team Valor purchased the filly from breeder Southern Nevada Racing Stables after her debut win Oct. 25.
Bella Bella Bella gave jockey Chris McCarron a record 281st stakes win at Hollywood Park. McCarron finished the day with five wins.

"This filly is very nice," McCarron said. "The Team Valor people made a very nice purchase there, buying her right after her last start. She's got a lot of class and behaves very, very well.

She's got a big, long stride. It feels like 6 1/2 furlongs is just a warm-up for her."

Daddy's Gold was second in the Golden Ballet and Martial's Princess was third.
