Radar Contact the Albany Champ

ALBANY, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2001) - Radar Contact came from far back to catch Rio Oro at the wire and win the $71,500 Albany Handicap Saturday at Golden Gate Fields.

The 5-year-old gelded son of Flying Continental, out of the Zanthe mare Talk Faster, was bred by Harris Farms. He ran the six furlongs on a sloppy track in 1:08.66 and won by a neck over Rio Oro, the California Cup Starters Sprint champion.

Radar Contact has six wins in 24 starts and career earnings of $271,655.
