Mr. Expo Gets First Stakes Winner
PHOENIX, Ariz. (Nov. 25, 2001) - California stallion Mr. Expo was represented by his first stakes winner Saturday when Calce Clunes won the $41,490 Arizona Breeders Futurity for 2-year-old fillies at Turf Paradise.
Calce Clunes is out of the Prince Card mare Strawberry Card and was bred in Arizona by Raymond Williams. She ran the six furlongs in 1:10.12 and won by 2½ lengths.
Mr. Expo is a multiple stakes winning son of Explodent, out of the multiple stakes winning Red Ryder mare Miss Creeker. He stands at Hideaway Farms in San Jacinto.
