Native Desert Wants a Citation
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2001) - Native Desert, the California-bred millionaire coming off another win in the California Cup Mile, tackles open company Saturday in the $500,000 Grade II Citation Handicap at 1 1/16 miles on the Hollywood Park turf course.
The son of Desert Classic, out of the Princely Native mare Miss C. Native, was bred by Fred Watarida. He has 19 wins in 61 career starts and earnings of nearly $1.6 million. He was a $32,000 claim.
