Cal-bred Trio Hunting Golden Bear

ALBANY, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2001) - Three California-breds are among the entries for Saturday's $55,000 Golden Bear Stakes for 2-year-olds at Golden Gate Fields.

Vito Corleone, a son of Memo, out of the Fort Calgary mare Fort Silver, was bred by Ken Porter. He finished third in the Beau Brummel Stakes Sept. 16 at Fairplex Park.

Iza Chili Bean, a son of Iz a Saros, out of the Out of the East mare Barbie Karen, was bred by Licia Lynn Bean. He scored a maiden win at Santa Anita Oct. 24.

Green Team, a son of Huddle Up, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Scare Tactics, was bred by Harris Farms. He was third in the Jessman Cloud Memorial Oct. 6 at Fresno.
