Gibson County, Trailthefox Try Turf Express

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2001) - Gibson County and Trailthefox, California-breds coming off disappointing finishes in the California Cup Sprint, tackle open company Friday in the $200,000 Grade III Hollywood Turf Express at 5½ furlongs on the Hollywood Park turf course.

Gibson County, second choice in the Cal Cup Sprint, finished third. The son of In Excess, out of the Winrightt mare Miss Gibson County, was bred by owner Michael Pegram. He won the Answer Do Stakes on this course and this distance July 16.

Trailthefox, who was fifth in the Cal Cup Sprint, will try turf for the first time. He is a son of Foxtrail, out of the Ascot Knight mare Suborned, and was bred by Lathrop Hoffman.

Rocky Bar is an Arizona-bred son of In Excess, out of the Bold Ego mare To the Post, and was bred by Triple AAA Ranch.
